Death Penalty

The death penalty in many cultures has always been seen as a system of justice “an eye for an eye” or "a soul for a soul".  Capital punishment is something is a law I strongly support.  I support this due to cultural and religious reasons. The death penalty in the United States should be enforced justly on those who do commit murder and the state must have solid substantial evidence linking he/she to the murder of a person. Violence is part of human nature therefore murder will happen and government should enforce a laws that express the seriousness of the crime. The death penalty is a perfect way to show the importance of human life. Living in prison for life is really not bad compared to being dead especially in the United States anywhere else I can understand. Prisoners here can get education, job not to forget the essentials 3 meals a day, shelter and time to relax and live. That sounds like vacation to many starving people in the world today some would kill  and commit murder just for all of the things offered to inmates in the US. I agree with the death of those who wrongly kill others.

When we look at the issue of capital punishment from an intellectual angel studies show that homicides decrease 37.5 % immediately after a publicized execution, the more publicity on the case the more homicides decrease. However this effect is short-term according  to (David P. Philips) “The Deterrent Effects of Capital Punishment: New Evidence and Old Controversy”; this effect is drops the homicide rate for short period of time. And In this nation there a murder is committed every 32 minutes according to FBI statistics. So technically we need to enforce the death penalty even more then ever to save more lives. One less killer on the streets one less victim in the world. It's simple and has been practiced for hundreds of years .

Improving the death Penalty is what we need!

A Miscarriage of justice or what is known as wrongful execution. Is crime carried out by Uncle Sam himself? Yes our government has executed the wrong people for murder every government has. I’m completely against this yet Our legal systems can be wrong and unjust people who do commit murder can getaway (OJ) and people who do not commit murder can be executed wrongfully. A relevant case of miscarried justice in the states was Troy Davis. A man who executed by the state of Georgia he was seen innocent according to many. No murder weapon was ever found and more than 7 of the witness who said he was guilty admitted to lying after he was executed. Many people including the Pope and former president Jimmy Carter asked for this case to be reviewed. He was executed and his case was not reviewed.  State government’s try their best  to bring justice with the death penalty and when it comes to the innocent lives of people being executed "We was almost right" doesn’t cut it. The government is not insisting on murdering innocent people but there are flaws in our legal system and as a nation we can improve on this issue. State governments should review all aspects of each execution case prior to the execution. Everyone should have a chance to prove their innocence before death in the court of law.

No man or women that has taken an innocent soul should  not have the right to breath the air that there victims couldn't. They should not have the right to live the days there victims couldn't. Living in this world is a privilege by its self even if your in a cage. No murder should have the right to live to tell his Sin.

How will we solve the energy crisis?

Within the last 10 years there has been a growing concern on the issue of “Global Warming”. And while many politicians in America see this alarming issue as the greatest liberal hoax ever to be made. Many of us didn’t know what was going on until global warming came into the big picture screen. With movies like “The Day After Tomorrow” many of us then started realizing there is an issue.
In the last of century the earth temperature has risen much faster. Since the industrial revolution humans have been burning fossil fuels like oil and coal. According to NASA Scientists 1998 and 2005 have been the warmest year’s ever on record. More than 97% of scientists believe that man-made climate change is real and exists. In the earth history climate change would happen due to natural causes. , These natural causes are still in play today, but their influence is too small to explain the rapid warming of the earth atmosphere. Scientist’s see this issue as an urgent problem in the world today and governments across the world act drastically. Organizations like the IPCC (United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and NASA have been dedicated to monitoring the earth’s climate change.

Government view on climate change:

In the beginning this issue was ignored.  Some Republicans saw this as a liberal plan that was going to give government more rights to be involved in industrial organizations and business. Yet in the end the United States is started taking action slowly.  The US state department has said “The United States is taking a leading role in addressing climate change by advancing an ever-expanding suite of measures.”
The United States has started many programs dedicated to climate change producing cleaner energy such as The Clean Energy-Environment State Partnership Program, Climate Leaders, Green Power Partnership and (CHP) Combined Heat and power all of these programs have been developed by the EPA Environmental Protection Agency to make a greener cooler earth. Even though these programs exist they cannot take action if the government does not cooperate and fund them. The current administration is trying to lead the way and is taking the issue very serious. Finding and investing renewable energy resources is the key to cleaner and cooler planet. The US is just needs to invest its war and nation building budgets in producing cleaner energy. The way I see it is we are bound to change our energy ways so why not make the future come quicker by investing in cleaner energy resource’s now by investing in Wind, Water, Solar, Geothermal and Biomass programs. It would cut dependency on foreign oil, and most importantly it would lead the way for many nations to the same.
"As we recover from this recession, the transition to clean energy has the potential to grow our economy and create millions of jobs - but only if we accelerate that transition. Only if we seize the moment." - President Barack Obama

Is WikiLeaks good or bad for the society? What is there goal and why is it dangerous?

The website publishes classified information that has changed the current political situation in the world today. The website has sparked major controversy across the world. Exposing many nations and their high racking officials the founder of WikiLeaks Julian Assange has made his share of enemies. Julian Assange has good intentions he believes that the truth should be known about all those who do wrong.
WikiLeaks is positive tool for society it allows us to know more about our governments and those in high ranking positions. The more we know about our governments and our officials the better we are and the faster we can react to situations concerning our safety and human rights. On the other note this website does raise eyebrows when it comes to national security.  Due to the fact all the information that is leaked is classified intelligence. WikiLeaks educates us on what’s really going on the world. The United States is not a big fan of WikiLeaks Due to the Information the Publishing website has leaked about the super power. The United States has tried to indict Julian Assange he states in the interview with 60 minutes “we are free press activists” he also states “The organization is supported by millions of people across the world”. He also tells the public that they have many unreleased files that more than a hundred thousand people have access to and if anything was to happen to him or his staff such as murder, imprisonment or if the organization feels threaten and cannot continue to publish then they would be forced to leak that valuable classified information to other publishing companies. WikiLeaks is showing the world the abuse and corruption of major government organizations. Exposing the mighty that thought they would never be exposed.
I agree with the actions of WikiLeaks for providing the public with sensitive information regarding governments and officials. I can also understand why the united states feels threaten by this organization it is putting the lives of American Armed forces  at danger by showing all the wrong unjust actions that have been done in Iraq and Afghanistan. The US has done a bad job of hiding stuff during the wars such as Abhu-Grahib Prison Torture, Guantanamo, Black Water civilian shootings and now these files have been released adding more fuel to fire. Terrorist can use WikiLeaks files to confuse and corrupt young souls into thinking America is the enemy. What impact the people are not the actions of the soldiers, it’s the actions of the government trying to hide the information of this nature.  The murder of thousands of Iraqi and Afghan civilians is now known thanks to WikiLeaks. War comes with civilian deaths it’s an external factor that cannot be controlled. However being one of the world’s most powerful nations we should lead by example when it comes to the rules of engagement.  Thanks to the Bush administration the United States has changed the world drastically since 9/11. The United States has a reason to worry about WikiLeaks yet I see Julian Assange as an innocent man for the main reason that he’s just publishing the truth. If people in our governments and our armed forces are giving crucial information to publishing companies such as WikiLeaks then that is an internal problem the government should deal with. Julian Assange states that his stand on America is not Anti-American and that his founding values are those of the US revolution and our founding fathers. He also states that there are Americans who work for the organization.  WikiLeaks has not just targeted the US but many other nations that are also doing unjust actions.
People see this organization as threat to many nations including our own. Yet what people fail to realize is how we can take advantage of this magnificent organization. In correcting and monitoring our government’s unjust actions. The government represents “we the people” so it’s in our best interest to know what our governments have been doing to other nations and how they are shaping the world we live in. Like they say the truth hurts so if you’re not ready for WikiLeaks then you cannot handle the truth.I support the freedom of speech !!

911 did we overreact ?

On September 11th many American lives were lost.  The world as we know changed on from that day on especially for America.  The tragic attack on innocent lives enraged the nation and its people. As a result of this attack the Bush administration announced a war on terrorism. The United States shortly after 911 attacked the nation of Afghanistan and over through the Islamist militant terrorist group that ruled the nation. The operation was called “Operation Enduring Freedom”. Two years later the US started a new war with Iraq and the Saddam Hussein Regime.  Millions of American’s and others across the world protested against the war. The United States and Britten paid no mine and saw Saddam Hussein as dangerous threat.  So in March of 2003, U.S.-led forces invaded Iraq and deposed the defiant leader. Saddam escaped capture, but after a nine-month manhunt, he was caught and hung by his neck. As a result the Iraq’s people who have been divided by many categories like tribe and religion have been unable to restore peace. With no iron fist ruling the nation the people of Iraq have founded it hard to trust each other and the new US led regime. The whole world was affected by the United States actions after 9/11.

A body of lies fed to the American people for a personal objective to be completed. This is our government today. US government took advantage of the public’s reaction to 9/11. We shifted the world against us politically.  Hatred for the United States and western nations grew in the Middle East and predominantly Muslim nation. The Iraq war was unjust as you can see in the videos above our government has falsified the reason for war. Dictatorship is better than a civil war. Thousands of Americans and civilians have died in Iraq. The nation of Iraq has yet still not found peace. We can’t spend trillions on destroying nations and building them back up. We must look out for America’s interest these wars did benefits the United States financially, it did not reboot the economy. We spent over 3 trillion dollars on Iraq and Afghanistan while middle class families were becoming homeless. The benefits of these wars are uncertain and unclear. As the world’s super power we should be concerned with developing our nation and moving in the interest our people.
